Let hope bloom!

Let Hope Bloom!

Flowers always have a message and are full of powerful symbolism. From love to friendship, gratitude support and… hope! Especially during these crazy times, hope is something we can all use. So, let’s let hope bloom!

Let hope bloom campaign

Over 200,000 stems of different flowers were used to make two impressive flower figures in two days. A team of twenty people worked on the realization of this. All safety measures have been observed and the sentiment in society has been taken into account. Production took place on an area of fifty by eighty meters. The Dutch Flower Group has opened up its grounds for this and, together with its growers, offered a lot of logistical and practical cooperation.

Flowers that symbolize hope

  • Iris: The iris is especially known for its many beautiful shades of blue, a colour that one doesn’t often see in cut flowers. Irises also come in many other colours including white, yellow and purple. And there are also all kinds of bi-coloured irises. The flower has three flower petals which open completely so you can see deep into the heart of the flower. In Greek mythology, the goddess Iris was the rainbow goddess. The flower was named after her because of the many colours of the rainbow where the iris can be found. The iris symbolizes hope and cherished friendship.
  • Myosotis (Forget Me Not): Myosotis, also known as Forget Me Not, is a genus of about 50 species of perennials in the family Boraginaceae, native to Europe and Asia. This beautiful flower has 5 petals and 5 sepals and is mostly seen from May through October. Its charming tiny flowers are mostly blue, but also occur in white and pink, with yellow centre.
  • Chrysanthemums: You might almost forget that the chrysanthemum was originally yellow, since the flower now comes in an incredibly wide range of colours. Opt for colour and enrich any room with chrysanthemums in warm gold, bronze or deep orange tones. Or go for subtle and calm with chrysanthemums in shades of white, pink or purple. Red chrysanthemums symbolize hope, love and joy.
